LPNs help manage patients’ basic health care.
Licensed Practical Nurses are qualified to provide patients with basic health treatment and monitoring, including wound care and dressing and vital signs checks. The services they may offer depend on the type of facility they work for and the needs of the patients they assist. With their training in healthcare, they can educate family members and patients about their condition and the treatment they must undergo to manage their health. They may also be assigned to interview patients for their health history and take samples that will be sent to the laboratory for testing.
